Production materials for Strauss's "Die Fledermaus," its English version "The bat, " and the English adaptation by Gladys Unger and Arthur Anderson, "Nightbirds." Both the vocal scores, including the copy for "Nightbirds, " and the piano score were published by Cranz. The vocal parts include English manuscript mimeos and German manuscripts. The English chorus parts are also mimeo, while the German include both mimeos and manuscripts. The complete set of orchestra parts is handwritten, although each part includes the published overture (pl. no. F.S. 23,502). The promptbooks include typescript copies, in German and English, and English manuscripts, and the dialogue parts are either typed or manuscript in English or German. Two of the promptbooks and two sets of dialogue parts are identified as the McCaull Version.
